ACT Fibernet is generally highly reliable, but if you experience sudden speed drops, start by checking your data usage on the ACT portal or mobile app. ACT plans come with generous FUP (Fair Usage Policy) limits, but if you exceed them, your speed will be significantly throttled for the remainder of the billing cycle. If your FUP is intact but speeds are slow, bypass your Wi-Fi router entirely by plugging the ACT Ethernet cable directly into your laptop and dialing the PPPoE connection manually. If the direct speed test is fast, your Wi-Fi router needs to be reconfigured or upgraded.
