Welcome to the dedicated Spectrum Speed Test. Charter Spectrum provides broadband internet to millions of American households with no data caps and standard plans starting at 300 Mbps, 500 Mbps (Ultra), and 1 Gbps (Gig). Use our test to measure your true download, upload, ping, and jitter.
Spectrum delivers internet via a robust hybrid fiber-coaxial (HFC) network. Their base tier delivers 300 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload, Ultra delivers 500 Mbps / 20 Mbps, and Spectrum Gig offers 1000 Mbps / 35 Mbps. Spectrum is currently rolling out High-Split DOCSIS 4.0 upgrades to bring symmetrical gigabit speeds across their footprint.
Spectrum provides a standalone modem paired with the My Spectrum Wi-Fi 6 router. For full gigabit speeds on Wi-Fi, test within 10-15 feet of the router on the 5GHz band. Connecting directly via Ethernet will show maximum throughput without wireless overhead.
Slow speeds on Spectrum are frequently caused by outdated coax splitters or modem cache build-up. Power cycle both your Spectrum modem and Wi-Fi router for 60 seconds. If problems persist, check the My Spectrum app for reported local service outages.
Simply click the 'Start Test' button on this page. The tool will automatically measure your ping, download speed, and upload speed for your Spectrum connection.
Compare your test results with the plan you purchased from Spectrum. If your results are consistently much lower than your advertised plan, try restarting your router, connecting via Ethernet, or contacting Spectrum customer support.
